Senior System Administrator
Job Description Summary
Provide expert technical advice to OIG (Office of Inspector General) management and staff in the hardware and software areas and shall exhibit appropriate interpersonal and communication skills. Shall be versed in information systems security, systems assessment and accreditation requirements, and infrastructure protection environment to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data.
Responsibilities
Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in order to work with technical staff at PBGC and OIG staff; perform briefings when necessary; and prepare appropriately required documentation.
Requirements
5 years of relevant experience (that exhibits mastery level in skill)
Knowledge of Windows server 2016
Experience with Windows/MacOS
Skills & Qualification
Proficiency enterprise network understanding
DHCP, DNS, IP & Network Protocols
Print servers, Remote Access Services
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of the following systems and tools:
SCCM, Hyper-V, VMWare, CommVault, SQL, IIS, ACAS and HBSS.
Understanding of help desk ticketing tools (e.g. Microsoft System Center, Remedy, etc.).
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification.
Advanced knowledge of PowerShell and the ability to write custom scripts for various purposes.
Strong understanding of Army enterprise environment.
